Stay at Home - Part 1: Indoor Cleaning Preparations

Updated: Apr 24, 2020

Most of us are spending more time at home due to the pandemic. We now have more time with our family and working from home has been a norm.

A clean and organized home will help you set the mood the entire season. Be sure you have also set some time preparing your home.

In this blog, we will focus on indoor cleaning and caring preparations for your lovely abode.

Indoor preparations:

1. Doors and Windows -

Summer is the time where your doors and windows are mostly used. Check and be sure all of them are working properly. Be aware of creaking noises and apply lubricants like WD-40 for maintenance. Contact repair services if there are things that you cannot do on your own. Also, make sure you clean your windows to avoid glass degradation and get a better view.

2. Upholstery -

Clean your sofa and carpet from all the dirt that accumulated during the last season. Steam cleaning will help remove most of the bacteria and dirt that has settled. It is also recommended to get professional upholstery cleaning because they have the right set of equipment to refresh your upholstery.

3. Medicine Cabinet -

We all love summer but this usually bring allergies and some occasional flu. Spend some time organizing your medicine cabinet by disposing expired medicines and re-stocking on essentials.

4. Airflow

Remember to clean and change filters in case you have air conditioning and air purifiers. Wipe out and vacuum your air vents to have better airflow.
